Hello, my thrifty friends!
I’m always looking for jeans that have that perfect fit. I feel like as women, it’s one of those long journeys week embark on…who knows if we’ll ever find the one. Well believe it or not these Forever 21 jeans came all the way thru and brought me some life. As my mom would say “they look like they are painted on” because they FIT like a glove!
I’m all for this weekend chill day date outfit I recently put together, It felt slightly boho chic to me. I’ve definitely been feeling like a weekend warrior these past couple of weeks, with the weather being so nice, it would be disrespectful of me not to take full advantage of this great weather.
I’m not going to lie, I felt like I was a Beyonce/JLO hybrid in these jeans, like who’s butt is this…because I can almost guarantee it’s not mine! I paired with this vintage silk camisole that I thrifted ($2) and similar colored bralette ($4) to show a little bit of skin. When it’s 89 degrees in March, you have to take full advantage of it.
We went to the cutest little restaurant hotel combo, called Hotel Havana. It had a really great feel to it, greenery everywhere and very tropical like in the middle of the concrete jungle. I felt like this was the perfect outfit for the surrounding scenery and it had a very easy going and relaxed vibe.
I finished off this look with a light jacket, which I thrifted for $5, that I felt it’s tailored look tied everything together. This entire outfit totaled out to $50, the most expensive purchases from this look would be both the jeans and my shoes. I’m all about buying items that are going to last and be staples, and adding a supporting cast of pieces to make them pop even more.
I liked leaving the top a little loose and unwound, it gave great contrast to the high waist and tailored look on the bottom.
